Creating a life, Creating a Business

Studying for my coaching certification while 9 months pregnant.

Being pregnant was such a special time for our family. I found that while physically I was more limited in what I could do, creatively I was not. Pregnancy brain had me forgetting where I set my phone down, trying to remember what the day of the week it was, and what appointment was that day. While I struggled with some of the practical, creativity flowed throughout me. As I grew a new life and an extra organ to sustain it, my brain was creating a business that I am passionate about.

I took the course needed to become a health and wellness coach and threw myself into learning the content. I was also able to apply all the knowledge I had gained working for small businesses over the years to start my own small business.

While writing out my health and wellness philosophy I wrote down: “My personal health and wellness philosophy is to look at myself as soil. Trying to add as many nutrients to that soil as possible, so that it is fertile for growth.”  My LLC was born as “Fertile for Growth LLC” hinting at the thousands of hours I have spent learning about fertility, pregnancy, birth, and postpartum without boxing me into just those categories.

Pregnancy sent me into this wonderful realm of creativity!  One that allowed me to grow the most beautiful little girl I could have imagined as well as a business I had always dreamed of; helping people to become healthy and well in order to fulfill their own wellness visions
