Local parks are a great way to exercise for free

The wellness industry can feel very consumer driven at times with expensive toxin free alternatives, pricy yoga classes, costly phone apps, and Instagram vision of influcers on a wellness retreat in some foreign country. Wellness does not have to be expensive. Here are some little to no cost ideas to ramp up your wellness routine:

  • YouTube videos: YouTube has so many free yoga, palates and workout classes available at just about any level. Take a few minutes to search around and find one that’s right for you.

  • Libraries and podcasts: Information can be expensive in todays day and age of class after class offered on the internet all at a price. Content doesn’t have to cost money. Podcasts are a great way to gain free content that you can listen to while on the go. Libraries often have an impressive amount of content in book, digital, and audio formats all for free.

  • Meditation: meditation is a free way to increase your wellness without spending money. If you want to do a guided meditation and don’t have money to pay for an app YouTube has many free options. Win Hofs guided meditation for beginners is my go to. 

  • Cardio at the parks: many cities have local parks that cost no money to visit. They are a great way to get in free exercise by walking or running.

  • Journaling: journaling is a great free way to enhance your wellness routine. There are many free journal prompts and pages online. You can also go the internet free route by taking the time to think, write, or make a digital note about what you are grateful for that day.

  • Hydrate hydrate hydrate: making sure to drink enough water can have a big impact on your diet and energy levels. Water is generally low cost to free resource. Being conscious and setting goals on how much you’re taking in can help to improve your wellness.

  • Sleep: getting adequate sleep every night is another inexpensive way to increase your daily wellness.  While for some who struggle with sleep it may be harder but there are many low cost ways to create a night routine that help to get sleep regulated and consistent.

Wellness isn’t about breaking the bank. In fact it can be the opposite. Putting in a low cost wellness routine can give your mind and body the energy they need to other goals
